Sunday Evening Preaching Service

Teaching and Preaching from Sunday evening service at the church I attend. Love it! Wish I had it as it was delivered by Pastor Steve Finn. Some highlights:

17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell. Proverbs chapter 9

Verse 17—–Steal something and at first it may be pleasant to have. Secretly the thief believes the victory is his. The key word is first, At first what was stolen seems sweet.

Verse 18—–The thief is ignorant  of how it will eventually turn out. Why? Because sin blinds. Years later the thief will believe there was no harm to himself and he got away with it.

The truth is sin always brings death.  Scripture speaks the truth when saying the wages of sin is death.  23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans chapter 6

Notice the word guests in verse 18. Sin invites others. Personal sin always infects others. Lack of honesty effects our children, love ones and friends. It takes away Gods blessings on our life which always affects others.  More later as I recall…….
